Sanitation Supervisor - 2nd shift

Our client, located in Elk Grove Village, IL

is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to join their team. This is a temp to hire opportunity; 2nd shift 1:30pm-10pm available; Tues-Sat $28 hourly rate. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Sanitation Supervisor within a manufacturing environment which will align successfully in the organization.

What?s the Job?


Inspecting the manufacturing process to determine sanitation protocols.


Own facility sanitation program.


Ensure success of sanitation program to meet food safety and quality.


Provide guidance on sanitary design of equipment and facilities.


Work closely with other departments to improve sanitation performance indicators (start-ups, microbial monitoring etc.)


Provide support during facility audits.


Implement master sanitation schedule.


Schedule deep cleans as needed.


Develop a working relationship with chemical suppliers to improve sanitation performance indicators and manage costs.


Coordinate and monitor cleaning schedules to ensure coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays with on-call capability as needed.


Coordinating the services of contractors and external cleaning crews.

What?s Needed?

Some level of post-secondary education in food science or a similar field preferred but not required.


Previous experience as a sanitation supervisor or lead preferred.


Extensive knowledge of the food and beverage industry.


PCQI and/or HACCP certification


Pest control training.
