Sales Manager - Personal Lines - Statewide (Trenton, NJ) - Hybrid
Overview:
Join a dynamic team shaping the future of personal auto, home, and umbrella products across a multi-state footprint. As a Sales Manager for Personal Lines, you will spearhead product and pricing strategies, driving premium growth and profitability for your assigned states while collaborating with a network of experts to deliver strategic results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead premium growth and profitability initiatives for assigned states.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term product and pricing strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor actions, and regulatory changes.
- Manage growth, profitability, and customer experience enhancement projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Contact Center, Marketing, and Finance teams.
- Direct and mentor a State Team comprising actuarial and business analysts to achieve strategic goals.
- Present rate changes, strategic plans, and updates to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Collaborate on annual financial planning and forecasting with the Business Process and Analytics (BP&A) team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- 35 years of relevant experience in insurance product analytics or actuarial roles with increasing responsibility, including at least 12 years as an entry-level state manager.
- Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and database tools; familiarity with other MS Office software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills, with a focus on clarity and effectiveness.
- A commitment to continuous learning in product management, technology, and industry trends.
Compensation:
Salary up to $155,000 annually, plus commission opportunities.
