Safety Specialist

Our client, is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team!

As a Safety Specialist, you will be part of the safety department supporting a culture of safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety which will align successfully with the organization. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and an excellent benefits package.

Job Title: Safety Specialist

Location: Parkersburg, WV area

Pay Range:

$70,000 - $80,000

What's the Job?

Maintain accident investigation files and organize injuries and illnesses.

Conduct monthly safety presentations and facilitate safety meetings.

Organize and schedule various safety training programs for employees.

Perform risk assessments and investigate incidents involving employees and contractors.

Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local safety regulations.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years prior experience in an industrial facility.

Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Completion of OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour programs is a plus.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
