About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapist based in Waukegan, Illinois, you will provide in?home respiratory care, equipment setups, and patient education while also supporting clinic operations at the branch. This role is predominantly field?based, with 60% of the time spent visiting patients in their homes and 40% in the office. You will support both the Waukegan and Rockford areas through a rotating schedule, as well as occasionally assist patients in Wisconsin. The team is highly tenured, stable, and committed to strong collaboration and patient care.

Schedule

• Work Arrangement: On-site; 40% office, 60% field.
• Standard schedule: 8:30 AM ? 5:00 PM.
• Mix of clinic days and home visits.
• On-call rotation: 1?2 days during the week and one weekend per month.
• Telehealth license is provided to reduce unnecessary travel, though occasional home visits may still be needed.

Travel Expectations

• Covers Waukegan and surrounding areas.
• Supports Rockford branch 1?2 days per rotation.
• May see patients in Wisconsin as needed.
• Majority of travel is in northern Illinois.

Salary Structure

• Salary Range: $40?$45 per hour.
• Reimbursements: Mileage $0.70, parking, tolls.

What You'll Do

• Perform setups, troubleshooting, and patient/family education for CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen, and ventilators.
• Manage a high ventilator load (~80 ventilators per month).
• Support clinic days at the branch.
• Provide follow-up and ongoing respiratory care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist with an active Illinois RT License.
• Must obtain Wisconsin licenses (Apria helps reimbursing cost).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and patient?care skills.
