JobResponsibilities:

• CollaboratewithDevelopmentandotherteamsonmarketandsiteselectionforutility-scalewind,solar,andstoragefacilities,focusingprimarilyontheEasternInterconnection(MISO,PJM,SPP,SERC).
• Supporttheinterconnectionprocessforprojects,includingassessinginterconnectionoptions,filingnecessaryapplications,evaluatingutilitytechnicalstudies,anddevelopinginterconnectionstrategies.
• Developathoroughunderstandingandevaluationofpotentialinterconnectionalternativesforvariousprojects,consideringcosts,benefits,andchallenges.
• Provideassessmentsoftransmissionmarketdynamics,suchasLMPs,nodalbasisrisks,andcongestionrisks.
• Performpowerflow,MISOERIS/NRIS,andPJMGDanalysistoprovideactionableinformationforinternalstakeholders.
• Scope,request,review,andverifyinterconnectionstudiesandotheranalysesfromtransmissionprovidersandconsultants.
• Tracktransmissionprojectsandoveralltransmissiondevelopmentwithinvariousmarkets.
• Developandmaintainastrongworkingknowledgeofregionaltransmissionsystemsandproviders.
• DuplicatestudiesperformedbytransmissionprovidersforQA/QC,oftenworkingonshorttimelineswithincompleteinformation.

Requirements

• Bachelor'sdegreeinElectricalEngineeringorarelatedfield.
• ExperienceperformingsimulationsusingTARA(MISOERIS/NRIS,PJMGD),Powerworld,and/orPSCAD
• Minimumof5yearsofexperienceinTransmissionandInterconnection
• Strongknowledgeofgenerationinterconnectionstudiesandthequeueapplicationprocess.
• Abilitytoprioritizerequestsandresolvemultipleissuesacrossvariousprojectsunderdemandingscheduleconstraints.
• ThoroughknowledgeofFERCtransmissiontariffs,interconnectionprocesses,andNERCstandards.
• Willingnessandabilitytotravelifrequired.

• ExperienceinGenerationInterconnectionwithinanyRTO(MISO/PJMispreferred)
• Codingexperienceispreferred
