Registered Nurse- Stamford, CT (#R10003)

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to fill an opening within a Government Facility located in Stamford, CT.
Schedule of the Registered Nurse:
- This is a Part-time position.
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:
Clinical Services:
- Provide nursing services during clinic hours in the Department of Health Clinic.
- Conduct intake, assessment, and provide comprehensive care for Sexually TransmittedDiseases (STD) in accordance with CDC guidelines.
- Deliver Tuberculosis (TB)-related care following official CDC and state guidelines.
- Conduct screenings for infants, school-age children (6 weeks to 18 years), and adults.
- Evaluate and refer patients for additional medical interventions as necessary, ensuringappropriate follow-up care.
Health Promotion and Education:
- Promote primary preventive health care services and educate patients about treatment,disease prognosis, medications, and follow-up care.
- Engage patients and families to reduce STD and TB infection rates, increaseimmunization rates, reduce pediatric lead exposures, improve nutrition, and managechronic diseases.
- Educate parents and guardians about childhood developmental milestones and provideanticipatory guidance.
Community and Professional Collaboration:
- Link clients to appropriate community services.
- Develop and conduct training programs.
- Collaborate with diverse organizations, nursing administration, public health nurses, andthe City Medical Advisor to fulfill local, state, and federal mandates.
- Participate in ongoing public health initiatives and maintain compliance with currentgrants and contracts.
Administrative Duties:
- Submit required reports, including reportable diseases.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Assist in data collection and reporting to support Department of Health operations.
Other Duties
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Department of Health.
- Ensure compliance with cultural sensitivity and respect for all clients.

Requirements
- Must have a valid Connecticut Nursing License
- Must have a valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have a valid motorvehicle operator's license
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diversepopulations.
- Proficiency in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint) andknowledge of electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and interpret complex materials.
- Commitment to continuing education and documentation of required training.
Benefits
- The salary for this position is $50 - $60 / hour.
