About the Role

GreenLife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator for a reputable review organization located in New Rochelle, NY . This role plays a crucial part in evaluating long-term care facilities for compliance with State and Federal regulations , directly contributing to resident safety and care quality.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct surveys, surveillance, and complaint investigations for long-term care facilities
Investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, or regulatory violations
Draft detailed Statements of Deficiencies (SOD) using Principles of Documentation
Evaluate Plans of Correction for compliance
Perform data entry into Federal and State systems
Participate in State monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy cases
Attend meetings and testify in administrative hearings if necessary
Adhere to all DOH policies, schedules, and protocols
Travel to on-site locations as per assignment

Requirements

Qualifications

License : Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
Experience (one of the following):

2+ years in utilization review, medical claims, fraud investigation , or similar
3+ years in clinical or administrative nursing
Bachelor's degree in nursing with 2+ years of related experience

Required :

Minimum of 1 year of nursing home survey experience
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to site visits

Preferred : SMQT Certification (or willing to obtain within 12 months)
