The Department of Law is embarking on a major transition of our physical workspace, and we're seeking a highly organized Project Coordinator to help make it seamless. In this role, you?ll be the hub of coordination ? developing a project plan, tracking progress, managing logistics, and ensuring clear communication between internal teams and external vendors. Working closely with the Operations Manager and supporting strategic oversight from leadership, you?ll play a critical role in planning and executing this move back to our permanent home at the Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
This position is located in Operations team of the Information Technology (IT) Unit. IT delivers user-friendly, reliable office automation, legal research, and information management solutions to enable the department to represent client agencies and the State of Colorado in legal matters with competence and cost-effectiveness. The Unit's responsibilities include system design, programming, implementation, training, and technical assistance, all while maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of its systems. Additionally, the IT Unit oversees and manages the business operations on behalf of the DOL, including the management of physical space and tenant obligations, document retention and destruction processes, legislative initiatives, fleet management, ADA POC, and oversight of the Emergency Action Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with the DOL's short- and long-term goals.
The purpose of this position is to provide office-wide assistance in the planning and execution of the Department's transition from the temporary office space at the Wells Fargo Building located at 1700 Lincoln, Denver (DOL North), back to 1300 Broadway, Denver (Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center, DOL South). The Project Coordinator will provide day-to-day project coordination, tracking, documentation, and logistical support for space operations and workspace planning, which includes day-to-day coordination with external support vendors, under supervision of the Operations Manager. The role supports the Deputy Chief Information Officer's strategic oversight of the Department's transition, by serving as the central point for planning, implementation, coordination, communication, and escalation.
This is a project-based position tied to the department's physical workspace transition initiative. The position is expected to end onMarch 1, 2027, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs. While the role is term-limited and duties will conclude upon project completion, you will receive the full scope of benefits offered to Classified employees at the Department of Law. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project and make a meaningful difference during a critical organizational physical workspace transition.
Salary note: Although a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
This recruitment may be used to fill more than one Project Coordinator position in the Administration section at the Department of Law.
