Job Description


Performs skilled non-production activities independently to support manufacturing processes in a safe and efficient manner while meeting quality and productivity requirements. This role may also involve instructing or coaching others within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.

Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.

Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Promote a safety culture by looking out for colleagues and fostering interdependence.

Correct hazards within control and capabilities.

Recognize and minimize the environmental impact of work activities.

Actively participate in HSE training programs.

Quality:

Follow and help others apply all applicable standard work, policies, and procedures.

Raise quality concerns to minimize costs and exposures.

Perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with production standards.

Delivery:

Demonstrate full proficiency in work processes, working independently to meet customer expectations.

Perform job responsibilities in alignment with defined roles and responsibilities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, processes, and employee development.

Provide guidance, instruction, and coaching to team members with less experience.

Maintain a high level of competency in core work skills.

Keep work areas clean and organized, including performing routine housekeeping and equipment maintenance.

Apply Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodologies throughout the plant.

Remain flexible and perform additional duties as required to meet production goals.

Collaborate with peers and various levels of the organization to maintain process performance.

Teamwork:

Communicate effectively with the assigned team and all support teams.

Complete training and personal development in alignment with business requirements.

Actively participate in identifying and implementing improvements in quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Skills:

Experience in machining line installation and commissioning.

Strong coordination skills to manage various stakeholders.

Hands-on experience in machining operations.

Knowledge of jigs, fixtures, and tooling for machining applications.
