Job Description


Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.

Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.

Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Promote interdependence by looking out for one another.

Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.

Recognize the environmental impact of your work and work to minimize it.

Engage actively in HSE training programs.

Quality:

Follow all standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.

Identify and address issues to minimize cost and quality risks.

Perform quality inspections and control non-conforming materials.

Delivery:

Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products to meet customer expectations.

Demonstrate high competency in core work skills and achieve production goals.

Work at the required cycle time or as per defined engineering standards.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.

Perform operator care and maintenance tasks.

Remain flexible and complete other miscellaneous duties as required.

Collaborate with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment requiring repair.

Teamwork:

Communicate effectively with the assigned team and support teams.

Complete training and personal development per business requirements.

Actively participate in improving quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate knowledge gained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Skills:

Hands-on experience in machining, including line installation and commissioning.

Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.

Knowledge of jigs, fixtures, and tooling essential for machining operations.
