Product Manager Animal Nutrition

This is the role

The Animal Nutrition SBU, part of the Care Solutions Division, currently has an opening for a Product Manager (PM). The PM will be playing a pivotal role in realizing the growth plans of our Animal Nutrition business in the Americas and will also be managing the global choline chloride product line.

The PM is responsible to define and execute product strategies, drive business results through deliberate management of the product and customer portfolio, and to help enable growth opportunities

Typical tasks and responsibilities are

Accountabilities

Earnings: optimization of business returns associated with assigned portfolio of products and customers. Contributes to variable margin through product pricing, contract strategy, focusing on asset efficiency and utilization, product optimization, system and process handling/ownership

Innovation & Growth: enables growth strategy and innovation through cross functional collaboration and leadership

Responsibilities

Define, maintain and execute product line strategies

Responsible for the management of the product portfolio as assigned, which includes both strategic and operational oversight, including lifecycle, evaluation, optimization and future development

Ensures maximum return on assets and supports variable margin delivery for product lines.

Develops and executes pricing and contract strategy. Continuously monitors business performance and influences business decisions using effective analytics, customer-centric recommendations, and product expertise.

Leads and collaborates with cross-functional groups to deliver on business targets, including

sales, marketing, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, Application development/technical service, Alternative Methods of Supply, regulatory etc

Owns systems and processes to enable day to day business operations and to facilitates new products launches or market entries

Leads

or participates in gathering competitive intelligence; including analyzing key competitors and their products and assets, capacities, utilization, cost base and strategies. Monitors and communicates changing competitive activities including supply and demand modeling, import/export data, market share, and conclusions.

Manages product and asset allocations

Serve on a Stage Gate Project and/or member of a segment team (as requested)

This is what you bring

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required. An MBA degree is preferred

6-10 years prior experience in sales, marketing, product & pricing management or supply chain, preferably in the chemical industry.

Complex project leadership experience in a crossfunctional environment

Demonstrated experience in product management and/or pricing

Location: US (note: choline role is global, interacting with all time zones)

Travel time ? 10%
