Role Overview :

Lokal App is on the lookout for a passionate and innovative Product Designer II to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating user-centered designs that enhance the experience of our diverse user base across India. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to transform complex concepts into intuitive and engaging interfaces. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the evolution of our hyperlocal platform, ensuring our products resonate with users from various demographics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and prototype user interfaces for web and mobile applications, focusing on usability and user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define design requirements and ensure seamless implementation of design concepts.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs based on user insights.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas and user flows.
• Maintain and promote design consistency across all products by adhering to branding and style guidelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking inspiration to refine and enhance our design approach.
• Contribute to building a user-centered design culture within the organization by sharing insights and collaborating with team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in product design, specifically in web and mobile applications.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design process and the ability to solve complex problems with elegant solutions.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar software.
• Experience with user research methods and usability testing, with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
