About the Role
As a Privacy & AI Counsel at Hinge Health, you will play a leading role in ensuring the company?s compliance with privacy and AI laws and regulations. You will work with other members of the Legal team on cross-functional teams with stakeholders from other groups, including IT, Security, Product, Engineering, R&D, Operations, and Compliance, to assess privacy risks and develop AI governance policies and best practices. You will also be responsible for negotiating DSAs, BAAs and reviewing other agreements for privacy and AI issues. This position is essential for safeguarding the privacy of our customers and members, staying up-to-date on emerging technology issues, and maintaining the trust they place in us.
What You'll Accomplish
Develop and maintain, in collaboration with Compliance, privacy and AI policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Oversee privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments.
Provide guidance on privacy and AI related issues to various departments within the company.
Work with Product and R&D teams to embed privacy-by-design principles in design and execution decisions.
Monitor and respond to privacy-related inquiries and complaints, and lead incident response along with Security and Compliance teams.
Work with client-facing teams on privacy and AI related inquiries and oversight.
Collaborate with the security team to ensure data protection measures are in place.

Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with managing people.
Compensation
This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $169,600 - $254,400.
