What Packaging Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health

Engineering is responsible for performing research and analyses to develop design options for components, products, systems and processes.

Packaging Engineering is responsible for designing, developing and testing a wide variety of equipment and packaging used for protection, display and handling of products. Determines packaging specifications, cost limitations, legal requirements and related documentation. Directs external resources / contractors as required.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

Supports and executes Cardinal Health Packaging Solution's Management by Objectives (MBO's).

These initiatives include, but are not limited to improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Applies Lean Manufacturing knowledge thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects.

Creates facility and packaging line layouts to illustrate space requirements, equipment configuration, and production staffing.

Will work on complex and technical projects related to equipment reliability, uptime, or process analytics and metrics that drive improvements.

May possess or complete Black Belt or Green Belt certifications.

Develops and delivers technical solutions or recommendations surrounding packaging components and designs, equipment packaging process and validated parameters.

Completes most work independently; receives general guidance on new projects.

Monitors and provides support for automated packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

3-5 years of Engineering experience, preferred

2-5 years of packaging/manufacturing automated equipment, preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Project management experience, preferred

Experience in technical writing, preferred

$79,700 - $113,800
