Principal Application Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Application Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development using a variety of backend and frontend technologies. This role will report directly to the Director of Application Development.

In this roleyour key tasks will include:

• Lead and oversee the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications.
• Design, develop, and implement robust backend solutions using JAVA, Node.JS, and .NET.
• Create dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly front-end interfaces using React and Angular.
• Mentor a team of developers, ensuring best practices in coding and architecture are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies

Requirements

To be successful you should possess:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development.
• Proficiency in backend technologies: JAVA, Node.JS, and . NET.
• Strong experience with frontend frameworks: React and Angular.
• Deep understanding of DevOps processes and best practices.
• Additional experience in Python is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience in the Life Sciences sector.
• Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
