Prep Cook / Line Cook

DBS is a family owned staffing company in search of a Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook / Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients are satisfied with their dining experience. You will work in a fast-paced environment where you will execute culinary techniques to prepare dishes while following standard recipes. • Prepare and cook menu items to standard recipes according to production projections and quality standards
• Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
• Follow all proper procedures when handling, storing, and disposing of food items
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station
• Assist with routine kitchen tasks such as set-up, prep, and clean-up
• Rotate food stock to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Prep Cook / Line Cook
• Well-versed with cooking methods, banquet-style food service, and portion control
• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to work well with a team
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
• Ability to follow recipes precisely and accurately
• Working knowledge of various kitchen equipment and utensils
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays

Benefits

Pay rate of $16 an hour.
