The Internet Archive is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit digital library seeking a mission-driven Policy Counsel to develop and implement policy and advocacy strategies promoting access to knowledge and information, with a focus on copyright, digital ownership, open research, and other digital library issues. This position is full time, based in the Washington D.C. area, and reports to the Senior Policy Counsel. The Policy Counsel will play a key role in developing and implementing Internet Archive?s government affairs and policy advocacy strategies in the U.S. and E.U., and in building relationships with policymakers and across the public interest field.
Develop Internet Archive policy and advocacy strategy;
Represent the Internet Archive?s positions in the media, and at meetings, conferences and other relevant forums
Must be enthusiastic about, and motivated by, Internet Archive?s mission to provide Universal Access to All Knowledge
