Pacific Defense, a small fast-growing company that develops and provides advanced multi-function RF systems for the U.S. Department of Defense, is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to work in our Communications Waveform Development engineering team. As a member of the Pacific Defense group of companies, our growth is accelerating. Pacific Defense designs and builds advanced, military standards-based, modular open systems architecture (MOSA) systems. These systems conform to the Army's C4ISR Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) and the Air Force's Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Standard. These CMOSS /SOSA systems are used for multi-mission electronic warfare, tactical communications, signals intelligence, cyber-EW, high performance computing and often simultaneous operation of these capabilities.

We are seeking a System Engineer to advance Pacific Defenses Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technologies and capabilities. Provide engineering expertise to evaluate current and future PNT performance. Develop engineering concepts and designs to satisfy complex client requirements in challenging environments. Prepare and present PNT concepts, designs, and analysis presentations to influence internal investments and new business opportunities. In addition, this role will involve hands-on testing of our next generation PNT products that are moving through the design phase, getting ready for initial integration and test. Architecting test setups, test concepts and executing the various testing regimens required to take this next generation capability into production is part of this job description. Ultimately, you could become the product owner driving it into the future and evolving it into the front-line Assured PNT of choice for our warfighters.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with engineering communications, PNT, Communications, and/or EW systems
  • BSdegree
  • Experience with program startup from Requirements development, Task allocation, and execution oversight
  • Hand-on Integration and Test experience
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communications
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, presentation, and client-facing skills
  • Highly motivated and self-starting are character traits needed
  • Secret minimum with eligibility for TS/SCI

Responsibilities

  • Responsible fordeveloping and maturing atechnical baseline thatmeets contractual requirements.
  • Working with the PNT Program Manager to execute within the programs cost and schedule baseline.
  • Actively mentor other engineers from multiple disciplines in order to meet program objectives.
  • Become a leading force for the PNT product line and influence the direction of the technology and future pursuits.
  • Be willing to work across traditional boundaries in a small company atmosphere.
