The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs Plant Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Active and visible EHS ownership to ensure site compliance, stewardship and championing continuous improvement efforts to improve all aspects of EHS.

Accountable for strategic planning and budgeting to drive sustainable improvements in factory cost through application of Lean Six Sigma, entitlement thinking, yield improvement, plant productivity and capital planning.

Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodology to drive employee engagement and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on TPM, 5S and Standard work.

Managing supply chain execution and inventory management to ensure appropriate supply chain performance through responsiveness, delivery performance, capacity management, supplier management, and appropriate inventory management.

Represent 3M and engage with key accounts.

Engaging the community by representing 3M in community affairs as appropriate and foster good public relations in the local community.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

Five (5) years of supervisory and/or management experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Five (5) years of manufacturing experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Five (5) years of Plant Management Experience

Experience with Mining operations, heavy industrial operations and MSHA

Experience in Operations Management

Union experience a plus

Expert knowledge and experience in production management, lean manufacturing and materials control

Strong Communication and Change Management skills

Experience in Lean manufacturing methodologies in driving value stream improvement.

Prior Plant Manager Experience

Work Location: Onsite, Coronal, CA

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $222,044 - $271,387, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
