Job Title: Physical Therapist Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic
Salary Range: $85,000 $110,000 per year
Location: Olympia, Washington
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM 5 PM
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our orthopedic outpatient team. In this role, you will provide a wide range of therapeutic interventions aimed at improving the function, mobility, and overall quality of life of patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries. Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Evaluate patients' musculoskeletal conditions using advanced diagnostic techniques, conduct physical exams, and analyze medical histories to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement hands-on therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, strengthening exercises, functional training, and modalities to manage pain, enhance mobility, and restore function.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on the nature of their conditions, effective rehabilitation techniques, and strategies to prevent future injuries. Empower patients with knowledge and encourage active participation in their recovery process.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes for patients.
- Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, track progress through regular assessments, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal rehabilitation.
- Advanced Modalities and Technology: Utilize the latest technology, including therapeutic ultrasound, electric stimulation, and cold laser, to augment the healing process and speed recovery.
- Mentoring and Team Support: Collaborate with a supportive team of therapists and administrative staff, participate in regular case discussions, and provide mentorship to new team members if desired.
Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physical Therapist in Washington.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Specialized Skills: Expertise in manual therapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports medicine, or musculoskeletal conditions is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong desire to work closely with patients to guide them through their recovery journey.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, athletic trainers, and administrative staff.
