Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Yoakum Community Hospital is an exceptional healthcare facility located in the heart of Yoakum, Texas. With a rich history dating back to 1922, our hospital has been dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community for nearly a century.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with our Physical Therapist to provide hands-on treatments and therapies to our patients.

As a PTA at Yoakum Community Hospital, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. You will administer exercises, therapeutic massages, and other treatments to help our patients improve their functional activities and overall well-being. You will also play a key role in educating and assisting patients and their caregivers in their recovery and home exercise programs.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong desire to help others. You should also possess a solid understanding of growth and development across different age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.A.) in a Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited college or university
• Valid and current Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong desire to help others and make a positive impact
• Knowledge of growth and development across different age groups
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred

Associate Degree
