The Photography Assistant & Studio Technician will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of the Dallas studio. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the studio, including photography and beauty support, scheduling, procurement, staff coordination, and internal communication. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, proactive with strong interpersonal skills, and most importantly, spreading sunshine and smiles.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Management:

  • Create, manage, and update daily/weekly/monthly schedules for staff and resources to ensure studio efficiency.
  • Manage Time-Off & Vacation scheduling.

Task Assignment & Workplace Coordination:

  • Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the day-to-day workflow in the studio, ensuring that all areas are clean, organized, and operating smoothly.

Photography & Photoshoots:

  • Assist in or conduct photoshoots as needed, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to studio standards.
  • Monitor the images taken to ensure the highest quality and consistency while maintaining the ability to resolve any issues regarding client images, poses, direction & guidance, etc.
  • Possess the skills to address any retouching inquiries and explain the retouching process to guests.
  • Provide retouching & design mock-ups for guests.

Tech Issue Resolution:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise, including software, equipment, and internet connectivity.
  • Advanced understanding of Rippling, Slack, Square, printer issues, computer issues, pay terminals, iPads, and Google Drive.

Studio Purchasing & Procurement:

  • Manage and coordinate purchases for the studio, ensuring supplies and equipment are ordered and stocked. This includes, but is not limited to, food, drinks (wine, juice, tea, coffee), and cleaning products.
  • Manage makeup inventory proactively (foundation, concealers, primers, etc.).

Employee Onboarding & Training:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they are trained and integrated into the studio's operations.
  • Schedule training for photography, hostessing, sales, accounting, and technology/software.

Event & Social Gathering Coordination:

  • Plan and organize internal social gatherings and events to foster team culture and engagement.

Emergency Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for handling emergencies or issues that arise during studio hours.

Positive Reinforcement & Discipline:

  • Implement disciplinary measures when necessary and provide positive reinforcement to maintain a motivated team.

Opening:

  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures for the studio, ensuring that all protocols are followed.

Accounting & Invoice Management:

  • Track and manage invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain financial records.
  • Maintain an open stream of communication with the Payments & Finance departments

Internal Communication:

  • Act as the main point of contact between the Houston studio and HQ/C-level executives, facilitating clear and efficient communication across all departments.

Guest Experience:

  • Maximize guest arrivals without rescheduling.
  • Greet & host guests while offering a luxury, white-glove experience to exceed guest expectations.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and basic accounting/invoice management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Retouching & design expertise.
  • Experience with photography equipment, including cameras and lighting.

    Schedule:
    • This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week (Wednesday to Sunday).
