PCB Design Engineer

The candidate in this role will be responsible for any PCB design activity for one or more of its product solutions.This includes making schematics and layouts with the best industry-practices along with proper documentation of the guiding principles. Astrome has a number of cutting edge products relating to 5G and satellite communication and you will get a chance to be part of all of them. The work will involve coordination and interaction with hardware design teams to freeze the design, with the procurement team to maintain the correct BoM and with the fabrication vendors to ascertain a feasible and cost effective PCB stack up. You need to be systematic and methodical in your approach and should be ready to train any juniors in the team.

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

1. 3-5 years of hands-on experience designing PCBs in an electronics company in

sectors like telecom, data storage etc.

2. Experience in designing a multi-layer high speed board with 6 or more layers and

knowledge of layout good practices.

3. Experience in using PCB design tools like Cadence OrCAD and Cadence Allegro,

Siemens Xpedition, KiCAD EDA etc.

4. Understanding of good layout practices and PCB manufacturing process.

5. Basic knowledge about different aspects of an electrical circuit - Control, Power,

Signal, Noise etc.

6. Excellent communication skills as the role entails interacting with domestic and

international vendors.

7. Good knack of planning and estimating the correct timelines of the project.

Desirable Requirements:

1. An understanding of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity with some past exposure.

2. Experience in designing RF PCBs.

3. IPC Certification is preferred.

4. Prior-experience of testing and bring up of PCBs
