Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions to ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly, two- client payrolls.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and taxes, ensuring adherence to state tax regulations and timely submission of payroll reports and tax filings.
  • Accurately calculate and track employee commissions based on established compensation plans, ensuring all eligible earnings are paid.
  • Coordinate with the sales and finance teams to validate commission data and ensure timely and accurate payouts.
  • Maintain detailed records of commission payments, adjustments, and approvals to ensure compliance and recordkeeping.
  • Manage workers' compensation compliance, including claims management and annual audits.
  • Facilitate annual 401(k) audits by preparing necessary documentation, collaborating with auditors, and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including retirement plans, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Manage employee benefits and insurance plans, conveying benefit information to employees and updating them on any changes.
  • Oversee the administration of pay/benefits related to resignations, terminations, leaves (with/without pay), and death benefits, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Collaborate with HR Manager on maternity and parental leave programs to ensure accurate documentation, payroll implementation, and employee communication.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
  • Provide documentation and reports as requested for audits and accounting purposes.
  • Submit government statistics reports including EEO, unemployment insurance, OSHA, and other state agencies requesting statistical employment and payroll data.
  • Verify end of year W2 payroll processing is accurate.
  • Input and maintain employee data in the HRIS ensuring data integrity.
  • Take on additional tasks and duties as assigned by the HR Manager to support overall HR functions.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in payroll management or benefits administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing payroll data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
