Paraprofessional

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring a paraprofessional to support a Middle School student. This position will work to support a student during their basic instruction in reading, writing, math, and other educational related activities as assigned by the teacher. You will be providing help or breaks/redirection as needed. This is a full time job with a salary and benefits.

Base Salary: $33,000-$35,000

Requirements

Teacher certification is not required for this position. However, candidates must, at minimum, have completed 2 years of college and possess an Associate's or higher degree. Possessing a BA, or possessing 60 college credits and working towards a Bachelor's Degree and/or some teaching experience would be a major plus. It is also important to have strong communications skills, basic administrative skills, and to be a team player who possesses maturity, a strong work ethic, and a whatever-it-takes to help children attitude.
