MG+M The Law Firm has an immediate opening for a litigation paralegal in our New York office. This individual will provide essential support to attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have experience with legal research, preparing written discovery and pleadings, e-filing and document management systems. This individual will provide essential support to attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have experience with legal research, preparing written discovery and pleadings, e-filing and document management systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases Assist with preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions and written discovery Organize and maintain case files, exhibits and documents Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness Assist with preparing trial exhibits Assist with document production and discovery requests Review documents in document management systems Candidate Requirements: Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate Minimum 3 years' of litigation experience Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, File & Serve, NYSCEF and Pacer (Aderant knowledge is a plus) Attendance & Punctuality: Be consistently at work and on time; arrive at meetings and appointments on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer Service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments Dependability: Follow instructions; complete tasks on time; commit to the hours necessary to complete assignments; work independently Team Work: Contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone's efforts to succeed Why Should You Apply?
