Job Description
The New York Office is seeking a paralegal with litigation experience. The primary duties of the Paralegal part of this position include working for a minimum of (4) attorneys, calendaring, document management including but not limited to review, creation, and organization. The primary responsibilities of the Docket Clerk part of this position include receiving all mail requiring calendaring and maintaining up-to-date and complete electronic calendar pertaining to discovery, pre-trial, motion deadlines, depositions, etc. Depending on requirements of specific groups calendaring requirements may be extended. In addition, compiling information for discovery responses, interrogatories, pleadings, motions, depositions, and trial preparation are essential functions of this role. A certificate may be required based on region, state, or client requirements. At least two (2) to three (3) years of litigation work experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) Strong Excel skills required Strong organizational, written & verbal communication skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours This position has an annual billable requirement of 1,000 hours Lewis Brisbois is not accepting search firm submissions for this position.
