In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive eye exams, managing ocular conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for individuals with complex psychiatric and medical needs.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive eye exams and assess vision health
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive issues
- Prescribe corrective lenses and therapeutic treatments
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation
- Collaborate with psychiatric and medical teams to support holistic care
- Prescribe eye-related medications as appropriate

Requirements
Qualifications- Education: Doctorate of Optometry (OD) from an accredited institution
- Licensure: Active Indiana state license and certification by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry
- Experience: Hospital or psychiatric setting experience preferred (not required)
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with modern optometric equipment and therapies
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, attention to detail, and steady manual dexterity
