Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to provide leadership for our client's shop production operations. The ideal candidate will set direction, lead lean initiatives, establish production priorities, and build effective relationships both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage shop floor production to meet customer quality and on-time delivery requirements while controlling costs
  • Champion lean manufacturing initiatives to increase overall manufacturing efficiencies
  • Develop and maintain an effective manufacturing organization through selection, training, and motivation of workforce
  • Create a continuous improvement environment involving all employees
  • Track and report on key manufacturing metrics in support of company goals
  • Support company policies, procedures, and good manufacturing practices

Requirements

  • Prior supervisory or shop floor leadership experience
  • Safety-conscious mindset and approach
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and methodologies
  • Ability to influence, build commitment, and overcome resistance
  • Capability to prioritize multiple projects, delegate responsibility, and ensure completion
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior
  • Strong leadership background with ability to engage team members in improvements and decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in wood product manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree
