Operational Planner

WWC Global, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is currently seeking Operational Planners to support United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). This position will support USINDOPACOM and its mission partners with the organizational resources necessary to identify, analyze, and eliminate capability gaps so that USINDOPACOM can maintain a competitive edge and meet the U.S. National Defense Strategy (NDS) and National Military Strategy (NMS) objectives.

The Operations Planner monitors and reviews strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions and makes recommendations to ensure compliance and/or consideration in planning efforts; develops plans and orders through the application of operational art and operational design within the milestones, deliverables and interaction points; develops briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and assists in the coordination of joint operational planning in support of training, exercises, combat, and contingency plans and operations; develops and integrates cyberspace capabilities into deliberate, contingency, operation, and crisis action planning; may support amphibious planning operations; shall plan, analyze, design, and provide recommendations on matters such as campaign plans, operational plans (OPLANs), and contingency plans (CONPLANs).

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Determining how to use INDOPACOM's capabilities to achieve objectives while considering the associated risks.
• Providing comprehensive training services to enhance the operational readiness and effectiveness of the US military, civilian personnel and foreign partners associated with INDOPACOM.
• Assisting with the design and delivery of Command Post Exercises, Field Training Exercises, and Table Top Exercises.
• Coordinating with allied and partner nations to strengthen alliances, enhance interoperability, and promote regional security cooperation.
• Assist with facilitation of bilateral training events and large-scale multinational exercises involving multiple countries.
• Based on a strong understanding of relevant Joint Publications, apply concepts and doctrine to the analysis, development, and implementation of relevant plans, strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions.

This position is contingent on contract modification and funding.

Expected salary range: $96,000 - $140,000

Work Environment:

• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).

• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
• Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle in environments including city, highway, and rural roads CONUS and OCONUS.

Travel:

• 11-20% / Occasional travel.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Master's Degree and 10 years relevant experience // OR // Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of relevant experience // OR // 16 years of relevant experience with no degree
• Current, active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• 4-10 years of experience in planning and coordinating military operations and/or exercises.
• Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Valid driver's license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain company liability insurance through a clean driving record.
• Must possess a valid unexpired U.S. Passport.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree.
• Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Direct experience with operational planning within the INDOPACOM AOR.
• Experience on a O-7+ level staff,Combatant or Functional Command headquarters,Joint Force Headquarters, Service Component, or Major Command Headquarters.
