Mid-size law firm with multiple offices nationwide is looking for a motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented and well-organized to help on our New Matters team with the process of opening new files and running conflict searches. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Setting up new files in the billing system for all offices nationwide

Review new intake forms for accuracy and completion

Following up on missing or inaccurate forms

Reviewing engagement letters

Preparing and distributing correspondence related to the new matter.Update existing file set up information as needed

Working with other staff members, such as paralegalsand attorneys, to ensure a smooth transition into the new case.

Back up coverage for processing requests for conflicts searches

Back up coverage for new business and conflict issues

Assist with projects as needed and other duties as assigned

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft office

Strong attention to detail and proofreading necessary

Excellent time management and judgement skills

Ability to work well in a team environment and independently

Ability to handle a large volume of work while ensuring a high level of accuracy

Strong organizational skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills are needed to interact with staff and attorneys

Previous work history in a law firm setting is beneficial, but not required.

Must be committed to providing superior customer service to attorneys while producing a high-quality work product

Maintaining confidentiality of client information is paramount.

Experience with conflict checks a plus

Experience with Juris a plus

Salary: $48,000 - $60,000
