Network Manager

The Airborne Mission Operations (AMO) within the Airborne Solutions Business Area (ASBA) of Leidos Defense Systems Sector currently has an opening for an experienced Network Manager to work in our Alexandria office. In this role, you will optimize and maintain a managed network environment, install and configure network equipment such as domain controllers, routers, switches, and firewalls. You will conduct testing to ensure functionality and security compliance, maintain accurate documentation, and provide technical support to team members and end-users.

Primary Responsibilities

Optimize and maintain a managed network that aligns with Leidos policy and Department of Defense (DoD) standards

Configure domain controllers and network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers

Conduct thorough testing of network systems to ensure functionality, performance, and security compliance

Review and mitigate environment vulnerabilities

Ensure environment availability for 24/7 operations

Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during installation, upgrades, and testing phases

Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, installations, and changes

Develop and update network diagrams and other relevant technical documents

Work closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users

Stay updated on DoD policies and best practices related to network security and design

Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure and data

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant Windows systems administration/systems engineering experience or Masters? degree with 6 years of prior relevant experience

Experience with Windows Server

Experience with Azure, Hyper-V, VMWare, SCVMM, SCCM, and SCOM

Experience with Active Directory

Familiarity with Linux

Experience patching/STIGing and upgrading environment

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Able to perform work in Alexandria, VA at Leidos facilities

Candidate must a US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Additional certifications to include: RHEL, CCNA, CCSP, MCSE

Experience with Azure administration

Excellent oral, written, and visual presentation communication skills

Pay Range:

Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
