Job Summary:

Caterpillar is offering a suite of internship opportunities for the MIT LGO class of 2026. Cat's traditional approach to internships has been to provide as much flexibility as possible - this lets us manage the matching process and get the best candidates in front of the most impactful problems, even as our own business needs evolve. For the class of 2026, we're sticking to that strategy, but we're providing an even greater range of internship opportunities, with more products and more supervisors.

Internship areas of opportunity:

Resource Industries Operations and Products

Product based roles in strategy, supply chain and value chain design

Manufacturing and operations transformation roles ? facility design, radical line balancing, Lights Out warehousing

Strategic Procurement & Planning Division

Cost Analytics and Optimization Product Owner ? deliver solution to cover 1M parts and $25B spend

Commodity Analytics - Create technology platform and data repositories to support granular commodity data extraction as part of sourcing processes.

Internship Program Qualification:

Must be enrolled in the MIT LGO Class of 2026 program

Must be able to relocate to indicated work location for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation

Additional Information:

All of our interns will be in close contact with Cat's LGO network.

Summary Pay Range:

$25.00 - $43.00
