Collins Aerospace is currently seeking student engineers for our Mission Systems Maritime Defense Engineering department located in Windsor Locks, CT. We are a multi-disciplinary team of engineers working in design, development, verification & validation, and operational support of environmental conditioning and life support systems, power generation systems, reactant generation systems, and fuel cell & electrolyzer systems for our Maritime applications supporting US & international submarines, unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV's) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV's). What You Will Do:

Assist design and project engineers in the department on various projects that may include some of the following:

Review of engineering schematics, drawings, parts lists, and requirements specifications

Working with computer aided design (CAD) models.

Extracting, processing, and analyzing product-generated data.

Review of vendor product performance and capability information to help select components used for designs.

Performing various engineering calculations to assess design capability or operational performance.

Processing and/or tracking status of engineering changes or product quality tasks.

Participating in integrated product development team meetings.

Documenting design, analysis and/or test results.

Plan and manage tasks effectively.

Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.

Onsite:

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Must be a commutable distance to Windsor Locks, CT to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
