Manufacturing Supervisor - Night Shift

Our client, a respected manufacturer in the food production industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor Night Shift for their facility in Sussex, WI. This position is responsible for overseeing night shift operations to ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. The role follows a 2-2-3 schedule from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Pay Range: $80,000$90,000 annually, plus incentive compensation bonus

Responsibilities

• Partner with Quality Assurance to uphold product standards and manage held production
• Oversee shift production to stay on schedule and within budget; plan for upcoming shifts
• Coordinate with maintenance and production leadership to optimize equipment setup, perform preventative maintenance, and resolve mechanical issues
• Promote and apply lean manufacturing practices to maximize efficiency
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management to team members
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment and ensure equipment reliability
• Manage material usage and labor allocation to reduce waste and minimize downtime
• Collaborate with shipping/receiving teams to ensure accurate FIFO inventory and work-in-progress tracking
• Utilize internal systems (such as IFS) to allocate materials accurately for production
• Support staffing needs, including hiring, training, corrective action, and conducting performance evaluations

Requirements

• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience
• 23 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make evidence-based decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
