Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the skilled trades department supporting essential plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting expertise, and electrical knowledge which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Bay Minette, AL
Pay Range:
$27.68-$38.95 per hour
What's the Job?
Following all safety rules and practices.
Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, and observing operations.
Conducting emergency/breakdown maintenance as necessary to support plant operations.
Accurately using measurement and test equipment for repairs and installations.
Maintaining clean and organized work areas while preparing and maintaining maintenance records.
Fully understand functions of limit and proximity switches and their effects to PLC?s
Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC drive systems to determine cause of faults or failures
Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems controlled by switches or PLC?s
Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems from solenoids, switches, valves, etc.
Knowledge with conveyor system and their operations
What's Needed?
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting expertise.
Electrical knowledge and experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required.
Ability to maintain teamwork with other associates.
Strong problem-solving skills.
