Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
- Maintain and optimize existing mainframe applications to improve performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mainframe systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing and deployment phases.
- Document technical specifications, project plans, and system processes.
- Stay updated on mainframe technologies and best practices to improve system processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Mainframe Developer, with expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
- Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and software development methodologies.
- Experience with debugging and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems and applications management tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
