Mainframe Developer

• Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Maintain and optimize existing mainframe applications to improve performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mainframe systems and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing and deployment phases.
• Document technical specifications, project plans, and system processes.
• Stay updated on mainframe technologies and best practices to improve system processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Mainframe Developer, with expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and software development methodologies.
• Experience with debugging and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
• Familiarity with version control systems and applications management tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
