2nd Shift - Full Time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all applicable policies and procedures and ensure safety rules are observe
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, goggles, gloves, ear plugs, metatarsal safety shoes, etc.) as required
Required to work overtime schedule as requested to meet production needs based on established overtime procedures
Operate machinist tools including CNC machines
Use precision measuring devices to effectively machine parts
Deburr parts
Participate in problem solving, continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback in areas of people, Quality, Velocity and Cost
Use blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specifications
Use andon for identification of variance from standard work
Be available to assist in other areas as needed
Participate in activities and exercises in support of the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) ? 5S, RIWs, etc.
Required Qualifications:
Trade School Certificate, Associates Degree in Machine Technology or High School Diploma/GED equivalent and minimum 2 years experience in setting up and operating CNC machines
Knowledge of how to set and use gauges such as calipers, bore micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written
Ability to read and interpret blueprints for datum lines and tolerances
Ability to interpret GD&T
Understand and use of measuring devices
Use of advance shop math
Ability to work overtime
Desired Qualifications:
Previous machinist experience
Additional Information:
2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm)
Full-Time position with benefits
Starting pay is $19.81 hr - plus an additional $1.00 hr shift premium for 2nd shift
Ability to work overtime as needed

Summary Pay Range:
$19.81 - $25.66
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
