Job Description

The Los Angeles office of JMBM is seeking an associate with 4 or more years of broad-based litigation experience to join our Litigation Department. This position offers the opportunity to hone and learn trial skills with direct experience preparing for and participating in trial work. Candidates should have excellent research, analytical and drafting skills, consistent attention to detail, and strong verbal and interpersonal skills. skills, excellent writing, attention to detail and experience managing cases and deadlines. The ideal candidate will also have experience arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing cases for trial. Candidates should also have specific litigation experience on commercial litigation issues, including such as breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and/or breach of fiduciary duty. Experience in intellectual property litigation is a plus as well.plus. A strong academic record and admission to the California Bar are required. JMBM reasonably expects to pay between $250k and $275k in annual base compensation for this position. The base compensation offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the selected candidate?s qualifications and years of relevant experience. Additionally, associates who meet JMBM?s minimum performance standards (including billing at least 1900 hours) can reasonably expect total compensation (base salary plus a discretionary bonus) ranging from $385k to $425k. The discretionary bonus may also be increased based on the number of hours billed and collected in excess of 1900 hours.
