We are seeking a Life Sciences Solution Architect with deep domain expertise to join our innovative health tech company. In this role, you will architect and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that accelerate scientific discovery, drug development, and healthcare delivery. You will bridge complex life sciences business needs with scalable, secure, and compliant technical architectures, driving digital transformation in pharmaceutical research, clinical trials, and related life sciences domains.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and scientific teams to understand life sciences workflows, challenges, and goals, including drug discovery, clinical trials, and molecular modelling.
• Design end-to-end solution architectures that meet functional and non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, interoperability, and compliance with healthcare and life sciences regulations (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Lead technical solution design and integration involving cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), HPC, AI/ML frameworks, and scientific computing environments.
• Provide expert guidance on life sciences data standards, scientific computing best practices, and domain-specific technologies.
• Drive innovation by leveraging deep learning, HPC, and big data analytics to accelerate pharmaceutical research and healthcare outcomes.
• Mentor and lead development teams to ensure architectural consistency and quality delivery.
• Present and defend architectural decisions to technical and business audiences, including customers and executive leadership.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and regulatory changes in life sciences and health tech to continuously enhance solution offerings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or related life sciences/technical field; PhD is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or technical leadership roles within life sciences or health tech industries.
• Strong domain expertise in pharmaceutical research, drug discovery, clinical trials, or related life sciences areas.
• Proven experience with cloud computing, HPC, AI/ML architectures, and scientific programming (Python, C/C++, CUDA).
• Familiarity with life sciences data standards, molecular modelling, and scientific workflows.
• Hands-on knowledge of healthcare and life sciences regulatory requirements and standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and translate complex scientific problems into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with deep learning frameworks and AI applications in life sciences.
• Knowledge of medical device software, clinical data interoperability, and digital patient engagement.
• Experience designing solutions for regulated environments (FDA, ISO standards).
• Familiarity with containerization, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines in scientific computing contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
