Job Description
The Legal Product Counsel will contribute to the creation, maintenance, and improvement of our legal software products. The ideal candidate has a law degree, has a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the law, is a strong writer, is comfortable with technology, is eager to learn, and can work effectively in a team environment. Experience with employment law and a willingness to present legal content in webinars would also be helpful for the position.
Responsibilities:- Research federal, state, and local employment laws and summarize them in plain language to help create document generation engines and entries in a research database.
- Track changes to employment laws and analyze how existing tools should be updated to account for the legal changes.
- Prepare customer legal updates that explain relevant legal changes to customers in plain language.
- Analyze answers provided by research tools and documents created with document engines as part of ongoing quality control and improvement efforts.
- Answer customer questions regarding legal products.
- A law degree from an accredited law school in the United States or an equivalent degree from an international law school.
- A minimum of three years of experience working in the law at a law firm, government entity, business, or non-profit organization.
- The ability to research and analyze federal, state, and local employment laws.
- The ability to summarize complicated legal concepts in language that is clear and easy to understand.
- The ability to learn how to use SixFifty?s document automation, Research, AI, and other technology tools.
