Lead Support Specialist

In your role as a Lead Support Specialist, you will play a vital part in guiding and empowering individuals on their journey towards recovery and wellness. • Provide leadership and supervision to support staff in delivering high-quality services to clients.
• Develop and implement individualized support plans based on client needs and goals.
• Facilitate group and individual therapeutic sessions to promote emotional wellness and recovery.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting support plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care and support for clients.
• Provide training and support for staff on best practices in mental health care and client engagement.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and families, addressing concerns and providing information about MHA services.

Working Schedule:

Sun-Thurs 1pm-9pm (32 hours)

Requirements

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license, sufficient auto insurance, acceptable driving record, and a safe reliable vehicle during working hours.
• Must be able to pass and maintain certifications in medication administration (MAP), CPR, and First Aid.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• College degree in a human services relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in mental health or social services, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of mental health issues and recovery-oriented practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport with clients and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead staff effectively.
• Proficiency in assessment tools and the development of treatment plans.
• Crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
