The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Labor & Employment Associate with 3-5 years of Wage-Hour experience to join our Seattle office. You'll be a member of our consistently ranked and nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice group. Learn more about our Labor & Employment department. The Day-To-Day As an associate in the Labor & Employment Department, you'll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys. You Have 3-5 years of wage-hour litigation and counseling experience; Other areas of expected experience: single plaintiff litigation, administrative charges, employment advice and counsel, and investigations as well as motion and brief drafting and some experience with depositions (either taking, defending, or significant involvement with same); Ability and drive to take responsibility for routine matters with minimal supervision and increasingly complex matters with supervision; Experience with civil and appellate rules (Federal and Washington) and employment agency rules and regulations (EEOC, DOL, OSHA, and equivalent Washington agencies); Experience with complex ESI issues and complex discovery is a plus (but not required); Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and solid work ethic; Must be licensed and admitted to practice in Washington. *Please submit your resume, cover letter, law school transcript and writing sample with your application.* What We Provide We provide competitive salary and benefits at all levels. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee?s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
