IT Engineer w/Networking Experience

Avint LLC is seeking a sharp, security-minded ON-SITE IT Engineer with strong networking expertise to help design, build, and secure mission-critical infrastructure. In this hands-on role, you'll lead the implementation of Cisco-based LAN environments, troubleshoot complex network issues, and ensure systems meet rigorous security and compliance standards. This position is 100% ON-SITE in San Diego, CA

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum uptime for users. The role can include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.

Network Design and Implementation:

• Designing, planning, and implementingLAN(Local Area Network) infrastructure.
• Configuring and installing Cisco network switches.
• Implementing network securitymeasures.
• Ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards.

Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues
• Troubleshooting network problems, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions.
• Performing regular maintenance tasks, such assoftware updatesandhardware upgrades.
• Have a Cisco CCO account to create Cisco TAC cases and download IOS updates.
• Documenting network configurations and procedures.

Requirements

• BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a Related Field.
• Five years of experience in Network Administration
• Five years of experience configuring Cisco switches.
• Have a Cisco CCO account to create Cisco TAC cases and download IOS updates.
• Current CCNA Security + Certification
• Top Secret/SCI DOD Clearance

The salary range for this position is: $130,355.00 - $221,603.00
