Job Description
The New York, Boston, Washington, D.C. and/or Los Angeles offices are seeking attorneys with three to five years of experience to work in the Registered Funds practice of the Investment Funds Group. Ideal candidates will have worked in a recognized investment funds practice, and will have significant experience with forming, structuring and advising on a variety of retail fund products, including a mix of traditional funds, such as mutual funds, ETFs and listed closed-end funds, as well as ?alternative? funds, including interval/tender offer funds, business development companies (BDCs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), ?holding company? and similar structures. Experience with regulatory, compliance and distribution ? both U.S. and global ? matters is a plus. Public company reporting experience, including capital markets experience, also is valued. Ideal candidates possess outstanding analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong academic credentials. Juris Doctor and relevant state/District of Columbia bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required. Compensation is based upon the roles and responsibilities of the position, the experience and education of the applicant and/or employee and is aligned with internal pay equity within Kirkland & Ellis LLP itself. The hiring salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $365,000. These figures are not representative of the full compensation range for this position.
