Job Description
Thompson Coburn is seeking an International Trade Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join our team. Experience working for U.S. trade-regulating agencies, particularly the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) at the Department of Commerce and/or the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) at the Department of the Treasury is preferred. Experience in U.S. customs law will further distinguish the candidate. Candidates must have exceptional academic achievement, excellent organizational, analytical, and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently and within a team. Candidates should be admitted to the District of Columbia Bar or eligible to waive into the District of Columbia bar. This position is open to recruiters.
Preference will be given to candidates based in the Washington, DC office; however, candidates located in or willing to relocate to other office locations will also be considered.
