Internal Audit Consultant (Metro Detroit Area)

Location: Remote with occasional in-person meetings

Experience Required:

Minimum 5+ years in internal audit

We are seeking a highly experienced Internal Audit Consultant to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing and be able to seamlessly integrate into our team and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct internal audits as directed by the lead auditor.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.

Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.

Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of audit tasks.

Attend onboarding and offboarding sessions at our office.

Participate in occasional in-person meetings as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit.

Strong knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information:

The position is primarily remote, with minimal travel required.
