Intellectual Property (Litigation)

Baker Botts L.L.P. is seeking a junior associate to join our Intellectual Property Department in our San Francisco or Palo Alto office. We are looking for a highly motivated associate with 2-3 years of IP litigation experience. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge intellectual property matters within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:
Experience with all aspects of litigation from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal
Strong writing skills and experience drafting and reviewing legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests
Experience researching legal and technical issues related to patent claims, prior art, and infringement and invalidity issues
Experience supporting depositions, hearings, expert reports, and trials
Strong oral communication skills and experience coordinating with clients, experts, and internal teams to develop case strategies
Experience with patent drafting, prosecution, and strategy
Law degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
Admitted to practice in California or another U.S. jurisdiction
Degree in a technical engineering or science field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics
Licensed to practice before the USPTO or qualified to sit for the patent bar
