Job Description

Troutman Pepper Locke's Insurance + Reinsurance Litigation practice group has an immediate need for an Associate with 4 to 7 years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience to join any of our offices.
We are looking for candidates with an understanding of insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies, as well as extensive civil litigation experience in the following areas: drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice, depositions, and court appearances (commensurate with experience level). Experience with business development, client management, and independent management of cases is preferred. This group is widely recognized for representing insurers on some of the toughest matters, including complex claims and high-exposure coverage and reinsurance matters. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and demonstrate superior research and writing ability. We are seeking highly motivated candidates who appreciate innovative thinking and are able to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with a team.
The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $370,000 dependent on relevant years of experience.
