We are seeking an Immigration Paralegal/Legal Writer to support our busy Immigration Practice Group in our Baltimore, MD office. The person in this role will work closely with attorneys to prepare and file nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications, primarily O-1 visa, EB-1A (Extraordinary Ability), EB-1B (Outstanding Researchers/Professors), EB-2 (National Interest Waiver). Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients regarding routine and case specific matters.
  • Prepare nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions and applications, including O-1, EB-1 & 2 petitions.
  • Draft letters for complex work visas and respond to government requests.
  • Review documentation to determine facts and information.
  • Compile and analyze case facts, draft correspondence, maintain and organize client documentation.
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely filings.
  • Record and store client information in an electronic filing system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in employment-based immigration.
  • Experience with O-1 visas, EB-1A, EB-1B, and EB-2 NIW strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-faced, document intensive environment.
  • Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and good judgement.

The pay range for this position is $72,000 - $92,000. The pay range provided is in compliance with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.
